Tour A – Cusco and Machu Picchu: 3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1:
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for a welcome drink of coca tea, or mate de coca. The morning is left free for relaxing and adjusting to the altitude. In the afternoon, we will tour important sites within and just outside of Cusco City, including: The Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) and the cathedral it became, and the ruins of Saksayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. We will depart at 13:30 and return at 18:00 hours. Finding an international or authentic restaurant for dinner is a breeze in this amazing city!
Day 2: 
Today is a full day trip to Machu Picchu, the “City of the Inkas”.  In 2007 Machu Picchu was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This mysterious site has fascinated tourists and scholars since its discovery in 1911. Machu Picchu is an incredible marvel of architectural design and structure. Experience first hand the wonder of stone masonry and construction that remains unexplained to modern science, and learn the secrets of Inkan culture from your expert guide. Feel the peace and majesty of this stone city built on the summit of a hill in an almost inaccessible location.
Day 3:
Transfer to the airport.

Tour B – Cusco, Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley: 4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1:

Day 3:
Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. Get to know this unique and beautiful valley first hand, with our knowledgeable guidance. This trip takes you to the Indigenous Market of Pisaq, where all manner of traditionally made goods are available for purchase. We go to Urubamba town for lunch, then continue to the Inkan resting spot of Ollantaytambo to look for the Inka face in the mountains. On our way back to Cusco we will visit the charming town of Chinchero, viewing more Inkan ruins here at an altitude of 3,800 m!

Day 4:
Transfer to the airport, or another extension tour can be arranged if desired.

Day 3:
Here is your opportunity to explore the ruins of Machu Picchu at your own pace, from 6:30 am until 2:00 pm. Perhaps you can hike Huayna Picchu, or walk up to the Sun Gate. You will be boarding the return train to Cusco at 15:00. Arriving back in Cusco at 19:00 allows time to dine in one of Cusco’s world-class restaurants.
Day 4:

Day 4:
Explore the authentic richness of the area south of Cusco. Our journey will begin at Tipon, the water temple. Then we go to the ruins of Pikillacta, which are Pre-Inkan, and are the highest-altitude tourist attraction. Admire the famous historical paintings in the churches of Andahuaylillas. On the way we sill stop and visit the authentic small villages of: San Geronimo, Saylla, Oropesa, Pinipampa, and  Andahuaylillas. Today you will experience Chicharrones, the local pork meat dish. Other lovely attractions, such as the lake of Huacarpay can be admired along the way, as this trip can have some flexibility.
Day 5:
Transfer to the airport, or another extension tour can be arranged if desired.

It is IMPORTANT to bring a raincoat, especially in the rainy season, (December to March), and a hat and sunscreen year-round.
